Cheap Hotels in New York City?

I'm planning a trip to New York City in May, and I'm looking for a cheap hotel to stay at. If anyone can help me out by giving me some ideas of where to stay, that would be great!Cheap Hotels in New York City?
I just got back from NY. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea for $160 a night. Beautiful hotel. It feels like its in the middle of the ghetto but the rooms were huge and its brand new. It's on 28th street and 7th avenue. Its within walking distance to the major attractions. We were in Time Square every night. It was a lot of fun.

Now, I researched rooms for three months before finding this deal. The best site to go to is Travelocity. I looked on every other site since January and Travelocity was by far the cheapest...even cheaper than hotels.com. When you find a good deal, before booking go to the hotels website and see if they are offering the same price. If they are then book through the hotel's website. The reason being is that you can continue checking travelocity for cheaper prices and if you come across a cheaper hotel, you can cancel with with the first hotel. If you book through travelocity, you cannot cancel.Cheap Hotels in New York City?
During my last trip I came across a website called http://www.cheaphotel-s.com .

It has quite a large variety of hotels. You might wanna give it a try.
I love Hotel 17.
Theres an econolodge just off Times Sq. that's only 2 years old.
Try this hotel price comparison site.
If you are open to staying at a Hostel or a European style (share bathroom) you can get great rates some less than $100 a night.

I just went in November and stayed at the Wellington for a good price. Could be different now. Rates change.

the brighton grove hotel on brighton grove has always been known for being cheap but i think it will be a bit of a dive not sure though... but if it just a bed after a drunken night out why not.. there are loads of hotels in jesmond and i am sure some quite fairly priced guest houses aswell.. jesmond is the place to stay its near the toon and also has some excellent bars and nightlife there it is about 10-15 min walk from toon or a 5 min metro ride... good luck and enjoy
Dont bother Newcastle was Shite was there this weekend wish i had went to the club!
Try this http://www.jesmondhotel.org.uk/

It's decent and reasonably priced, in a very nice swanky area called Jesmond.
Went there for a stag do, stopped in the Comforth Inn, was fairly cheap.
Check out this site called http://www.cheaphotel-s.com Its search covers 30 over sites with 700,000 hotels.

All the best.
I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months - I don't like to interrupt her.

Her Dad owns a hotel there.

I think it's called the Booze and Snooze.

He's cheap.
Don't bother with Newcastle. Come to Sunderland, it's more important than Newcastle, it's the biggest populace area in the North East, has 2 nice beaches, everythings less expensive, very close to the countryside (I live 2 minutes from open fields), nice riverside walks.

Newcastle - its got nothing except thick Geordies.

Q: What鈥檚 the difference between a bowling ball and a Geordie lass.

A: You can only get 3 fingers in a bowling ball.
Does anyone know any hotels in Newcastle that are expensive?
You can try www.hotelbooklet.com which compares more than 30 popular hotel reservations sites and shows all available deals!
That's a difficult one. I went there recently and counldn't find anything below 拢45 per night. In the end I went to nearby Sunderland, where you can find a place for 拢20, if you're willing to put up with the travel.

  • Anyone know of cheap hotels in manhattan somewhere in or near the lower east side?

looking to visit NYC and find a cheap place to stay for labor day weekend...hopefully with parking? any help would be greatly appreciated thanksAnyone know of cheap hotels in manhattan somewhere in or near the lower east side?
you may want to search for hotels in Queens...Long Island City to be precise. It's only a bridge away from Manhattan. remember, Manhattan and cheap are two words that don't exactly go together lol

What is the cheaPest hotel in new york that has 3 starts?

belvedere is a cheap 3 star hotelWhat is the cheaPest hotel in new york that has 3 starts?
I assume you mean ';three stars';.... That's probably going to cost at least $150/night - most likely more, depending on the season and day of the week. ';New York'; and ';cheap hotel'; don't go together, unless you don't mind a flea-bag!

You can go to TripAdvisor.com for a list of hotels and comments from past guests, which can help you decide which hotel is right for your needs. What is the cheaPest hotel in new york that has 3 starts?

What are some good but cheap hotels in wilmington nc?

Not sure what your idea of ';cheap'; is, but you should try RiverView Suites at Water Street Center.

It's affiliated with the Hilton hotel next door but features only suites. These suites provide a full kitchen so you can save some money by staying in and cooking some of your meals. Also, guests of the suites have full access to all the property amenities of the Hilton Wilmington Riverside hotel such as the outdoor heated pool, fitness center and business center.

When I checked I found a rate of $139 per night. Good luck!

P.S. They also offer a complimentary airport shuttle if you plan on flying in.What are some good but cheap hotels in wilmington nc?

Does anyone know of any cheap hotels in central London?

Would love somewhere convient to the tube and all the hustle bustle, i'm going in June

I think that Bed and Breakfasts are the best way to go in London when it comes to central and inexpensive lodging. Plus you get free breakfast. Though London B%26amp;B's aren't as charming and homey as the ones in the country, they're much less expensive than large hotels and offer private ensuite rooms that are quite clean.

I've stayed in the Vegas hotel (http://www.vegashotel.co.uk/) near Victoria Station. This room was bizarre since you entered through the loo to get to the bed, however, at least it was ensuite, cheap, clean, included breakfast and had a television. That area around and behind Victoria has dozens of similar B%26amp;Bs, and the same is true of areas surrounding most of the city's main central train stations, King's cross area has loads, but it's not quite as close to the city center but it is close to excellent transportation. Staying near Victoria is a good idea because of all the great transportation connections and it's a safe area. www.4hotels.co.uk is a good place to start B%26amp;B shopping. It also lets you browse by region of London. The bigger sites like www.hotels.com, www.expedia.com, etc. usually have some B%26amp;B listings for London as well.

I'd also recommend the Hotel St. Simeon B%26amp;B in Kensington http://www.stsimeon.com/. This B%26amp;B had spacious rooms, gorgeous lobby, great breakfasts and was in a really nice area of the city, right off Gloucester Road tube station.

Rates for these types of B%26amp;Bs usually start at around 40 pounds ($80). And since they include large breakfasts they help stretch your food budget as well!Does anyone know of any cheap hotels in central London?

Like most people have said, cheap and London are not synonymous. You might check out the Hoxton Hotel which is near the Old Street underground station. It's a nice, modern, and clean hotel at a decent price (for London). I recently stayed there and was very pleased with my experience. The area is not the most attractive, but it heats up at night because there are several restaurants, bars, and clubs in the area.
If you want cheap (and I emphasise cheap in quality), there's Lords Hotel in Bayswater not far from Queensway tube station.

Otherwise I'd recommend a Travelodge for acceptable cheapness (i.e cheap but good), or a Premier Travel Inn.
A while since I have been to London, but I used to use a hotel booking agency that was located in the front facade of Victoria Railway station. There are other such agencies in some Underground ticket halls.
the words cheap and london dont normally go in the same sentence , but on the off chance that you do get one, dont expect the ritz or the term clean andtidy to arise. good luck

Hahahaha are you trying to make us laugh something cheap in London.
I stayed at the Edward Lear hotel - http://www.edlear.com/. It was very good value, nice and homely, and very close to Oxford St and Marble Arch.
have you looked at youth hostels? new ones are supposed to be really good
if there are any cheap hotels in central London, they would have to be real crappy
Try youth hostels - look at the following website.
