I am moving to San Diego from NYC in a few months, but am traveling out there in a few weeks to check out the areas. I want to live in la jolla/Del mar region so I'd like a hotel just North of that area or inland (where the hotels seem to be cheaper). Looking to not spend too much on a place to sleep. Anyway, any suggestions on cheap motels around there? I see a few just west of la jolla (super 8) that are about 59-69 per night. Is that the best bet? Cheap hotel in northern San Diego area?

You aren't really going to find many cheap places around LaJolla or Del Mar,,,, here is a site you really should check out,, it will help you a bunch for the move
