Cheap Hotel Room In Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay)?

Okay bargain hunters, I'm going to a show on August 9th to see some friends play at the house of blues. So I WANT to stay at Mandalay Bay, but right now that is looking to be too expensive. Where can I get a smoking deal on a room at MB or another hotel VERY close by (walking distance, keep in mind walking in the heat)

I'll need a room with 2 beds, we wont be spending hardly any time in the room, just to sleep. No Smoking Preferably.

I checked out expedia and cheaptickets and neither really had any deals, what am I missing.

Also, I just recently turned 21, so I would be willing to pay a little bit more if the hotel will give me the real vegas experience, whatever that consists of. I've never been there before.Cheap Hotel Room In Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay)?
Excalibur is connected via Luxor (indoor walking) or by free tram between Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. It is the cheapest of the three and they have some very decent Widescreen rooms. But if you aren't concerned with how the room looks, their standard room is cheaper. They have a nice pool area and a fun casino. The rate is $33/night from August 9-14, and for a Widescreen room the cost is $53/night. This includes 2-for-1 tickets to Tournament of Kings dinner show ($60 value), free spa admission, 2 free drinks and 20% off any spa treatment.

Luxor is connected to Mandalay Bay by indoor mall or the tram mentioned above. It is a little more upscale than Excalibur, and a little less upscale than Mandalay Bay. Their rates are $60/night from August 9-13. This includes $25 food credit, $10 beverage credit, $25 spa credit, and $10 in free play.

These rates can be found here http://smartervegas.com/Cheap Hotel Room In Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay)?
Weekends are the most expensive. I'd shoot for the Excalibur. About $60 on Sunday and $120 on Saturday night. Going to be hard to find a Good Deal on a Saturday Night on any Strip Resort. About 8-10 million people a year hit Vegas on the Weekends from California and that's the big profit day for the Hotels. So much so that most of them will not book a single night on a weekend they require 2 nights.
cheap strip hotels..check imperial palace, its right in the heart of the strip and its usually like under 50 bucks for weekdays

hooters is dirt cheap under 30 for weekday, right next to mgm

circus circus is always cheap like 40-50 ish but its north of the strip and kinda in a shady area

i wouldnt go to expedia type web sites. do your research. Google a strip map of all the hotels then go to their direct web sites. that is how you will find the cheapest.
Luxor http://www.luxor.com/

is showing a rate of $50 per night for August 9, 10, 11 and 12.

It is connected directly to Mandalay Bay with an indoor tunnel, which they call Mandalay Place. You never have to go outside. Another tunnel connects Luxor to Excalibur.
Excalibur or Tropicana are your best bets for cheap but respectable places within walking distance of Mandalay Bay.

ive lived in vegas my whole life and my friends just got a hotel last week at the stratosphere for like $20 a night. i dont know how they got it so cheap but they did. it was a basic room but had a nice pool. its pretty close to the strip
Luxor, MGM and Excalibur are very close to Mandalay Bay and they offering promotion offers in order to get a good price. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - you will find the latest promotion offers and codes there.
Stay at the Luxor or Excalibur. They are all connected to Mandalay Bay by a free monorail. Problem solved.
Here are some deals at the Luxor and Excalibur. Ride the free tram to MB
