I just got back from NY. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea for $160 a night. Beautiful hotel. It feels like its in the middle of the ghetto but the rooms were huge and its brand new. It's on 28th street and 7th avenue. Its within walking distance to the major attractions. We were in Time Square every night. It was a lot of fun.
Now, I researched rooms for three months before finding this deal. The best site to go to is Travelocity. I looked on every other site since January and Travelocity was by far the cheapest...even cheaper than hotels.com. When you find a good deal, before booking go to the hotels website and see if they are offering the same price. If they are then book through the hotel's website. The reason being is that you can continue checking travelocity for cheaper prices and if you come across a cheaper hotel, you can cancel with with the first hotel. the brighton grove hotel on brighton grove has always been known for being cheap but i think it will be a bit of a dive not sure though... but if it just a bed after a drunken night out why not.. there are loads of hotels in jesmond and i am sure some quite fairly priced guest houses aswell.. jesmond is the place to stay its near the toon and also has some excellent bars and nightlife there it is about 10-15 min walk from toon or a 5 min metro ride... good luck and enjoy

Don't bother with Newcastle. Come to Sunderland, it's more important than Newcastle, it's the biggest populace area in the North East, has 2 nice beaches, everythings less expensive, very close to the countryside (I live 2 minutes from open fields), nice riverside walks.

Not sure what your idea of ';cheap'; is, but you should try RiverView Suites at Water Street Center.
It's affiliated with the Hilton hotel next door but features only suites. These suites provide a full kitchen so you can save some money by staying in and cooking some of your meals. Also, guests of the suites have full access to all the property amenities of the Hilton Wilmington Riverside hotel such as the outdoor heated pool, fitness center and business center.

I think that Bed and Breakfasts are the best way to go in London when it comes to central and inexpensive lodging. Plus you get free breakfast. Though London B%26amp;B's aren't as charming and homey as the ones in the country, they're much less expensive than large hotels and offer private ensuite rooms that are quite clean.
I've stayed in the Vegas hotel (http://www.vegashotel.co.uk/) near Victoria Station. This room was bizarre since you entered through the loo to get to the bed, however, at least it was ensuite, cheap, clean, included breakfast and had a television. That area around and behind Victoria has dozens of similar B%26amp;Bs, and the same is true of areas surrounding most of the city's main central train stations, King's cross area has loads, but it's not quite as close to the city center but it is close to excellent transportation. Staying near Victoria is a good idea because of all the great transportation connections and it's a safe area. www.4hotels.co.uk is a good place to start B%26amp;B shopping. It also lets you browse by region of London. The bigger sites like www.hotels.com, www.expedia.com, etc. usually have some B%26amp;B listings for London as well.

Like most people have said, cheap and London are not synonymous. You might check out the Hoxton Hotel which is near the Old Street underground station. It's a nice, modern, and clean hotel at a decent price (for London). I recently stayed there and was very pleased with my experience. The area is not the most attractive, but it heats up at night because there are several restaurants, bars, and clubs in the area.
If you want cheap (and I emphasise cheap in quality), there's Lords Hotel in Bayswater not far from Queensway tube station.
Otherwise I'd recommend a Travelodge for acceptable cheapness (i.e cheap but good), or a Premier Travel Inn.
A while since I have been to London, but I used to use a hotel booking agency that was located in the front facade of Victoria Railway station. There are other such agencies in some Underground ticket halls.
the words cheap and london dont normally go in the same sentence , but on the off chance that you do get one, dont expect the ritz or the term clean andtidy to arise. good luck

Ok, it looks like you have never been to WDW before. It is a city onto itself and there is no hotel near enough to walk there. They are so huge they even have their own freeway system. So unless you are wanting to pay up to stay in a Disney resort (and sometimes the rates are not so bad!) you will have to stay someplace else like a motel 6 or super 8 and pay up the $10 for daily parking (unless you want to catch the standard bus to the downtown disney area and then shuttle it to a park, and probably have to take a taxi back from the area later.
But if you are insistant on not doing the disney resort (or can't find a good rate...try looking closer to the Universal Studio's area, there is lots of places and the whole area is like a carnival like atmosphere with lots of small rides (at individual prices) scattered throughout.

I went on an information seeking trip to Vegas in 2000 and found a place that was a real deal called Budget Suites. Goto www.budgetsuites.com and you get to rent a place for a week for the same price you'd pay at a hotel. They're like little condos! Everything you'd expect from apartment living.
There is a short-term apartment complex not too far from the strip called Harbor Island. It isn't hilton, but it is not too bad either. They have furnished studio apartments that you can rent either by the week or by the month. It definitely does not compare to staying at one of the hotels at the casions, but you can save a lot of money buy cooking breakfast, and maybe even lunch at the apartment. They accept credit card payments, but there is no phone in the apartment. If you are on a tight budget, it can save you some money. Prices are a little below $200 per week. You'll need a car while you are there, so if you do not plan on renting a car during your trip, then you will need to stay somewhere along the strip. Parking is free at most of the casinos.
One of the cheapest ways to do LV is to stay downtown not on the Strip. My husband and I have stayed at the Golden Gate (be sure and ask for a room NOT on Fremont) and the Lady Luck (now closed)... the Hotel California appears to be a worthy successor. We like downtown because it's walkable, smaller in scale, and more like the old Las Vegas we remember. The Fremont Experience is fun and there's usually live entertainment in the street on the weekends. Good luck!

i usually don't stay right in orlando. there is a nice place called Davenport it is about 20 minutes from orlando off of interstate 4 and is on highway 27. there is a bestwestern, holiday inn express, and a super 8 all right there. i have stayed in them all. super 8 is ok and has a pool and is on the same side of the road as waffle house restaurant, 7-11, and the gas station. bestwestern is small but nice and they have a pool and hot tub and bobevens is right there. and holiday inn express is really nice and they have a door from you room to the pool area and king size beds. you could also get to bobevens by walking and there is a gas station right next store. also if you stay in davenport be sure to go to the t-shirt store they have lots of disney shirts and cups, and toys, and collectables for cheap.

Sorry i don't know the answer to your question but NIAGARA FALLS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Just to let you know if you have never been there before! If you are going you MUST go on the Maid of the Mist. That was the best thing I did there! Also you should go to Skylon Tower. I would reccomend going at night because the colord lights on the falls are so pretty from up there! Some good hotels are on the Canada side of the falls but you would need a passport. Either side should be fine though! -lorno!

You should get for between 4500-7000yen a night, usually per person, so pays to get 1 room per person. They have TV, toilet, shower. Can be relatively comfortable. i stayed one night at the Asuka in Shinjuku. Quite reasonable and decent location. 5 minute walk from Shinjuku station, which is one of the the main hubs in Tokyo. It was about 5500 a couple of years ago. If you have a Japanese friend, they should be able to find one for you. if you don't get it beforehand, it may be difficult to find one or get a room. They sometimes don't like to rent to foreigners.

Not sure if you will be in an area that has a YMCA or YWCA. Sometimes they offer bedding by the night. Also, Salvation Army has shelters as well. I am pretty sure there would be free. The only deal with them is that you must be pretty much destitute. They usually run a police check to make sure your record is clear and that you are not wanted for any reason.
You won't find good rate in website, when you land in Macau ask the taxi driver for a budget hotel. Macau is not a cheap place to stay, because of heavy tourist there due to all those casinos.
Look up hostels in the area. Yeah......it's not a 5-star, but it's cheap!!! Memories will be made by all the fun you'll have. Don't overpay for a shower and a bed to sleep on. Have fun and good luck!

For Medina I recommend the Taiba hotel. Its clean and it is literally right across the street from the prophet's mosque. For Mecca I would recommend the Elaf-Kinda if you need something a bit cheaper, but if you can splurge a bit I highly recommend the Hilton in Mecca. It is literally on the door step for the Kaaba, its very clean and has good service. To be honest I suggest you spend the extra money because its worth it especially in Mecca. We stayed in the wynfield inn just off international drive and it was perfect, it has a free grab and go breakfast and free transportation to most of the parks.
Not sure about the pet thing, but the hotel has 2 cats so im sure it would be ok.

You should use Priceline.com and name your own price.
Check out Biddingfortravel.com to research what hotels you are most likely to get and if they have pools, etc. You can see how much you most likely would have to bid to get a hotel.

if you are talking about the florida keys. then the only place you will find that is in key west. i would try to stay close to duval st. because that is where all of the excitement is and you can walk everywhere. anywhere else in the keys will be very difficult to find a hotel like that because the keys stretch 100 miles so everything is far.Looking for a great location in the Keys that is walking distance to all bars and restaurants%26gt; Cheap hotels

Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Hollywood is 36 miles from Universal, and about 20 miles from the beach. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim.
In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel near Hollywood and Highland, Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, or the Best Western Sunset Plaza.
In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced.
In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn.
The beach is a long way from the other attractions. Thus, a hotel near the beach will be a long way from the other main attractions. And the main attractions themselves are very spread out. You can only be near one of them. As well, any where near the beach is expensive. Thus, we need you to define what you mean by ';cheap';.

I recommend the Southern Cross. The location is FANTASTIC, it's right on Duval Street. It's a small hotel with not really any amenities, and the rooms are pretty small, but during our stay there the rooms were very clean and the staff were quite helpful. They don't have a pool but there is a bar down the street that actually has a public pool and there are public beaches. If you're just looking for a clean room to sleep in and a fantastic location I think this hotel would be great.

Try a motel 6, but $25 a night is not going to get you anything but a fleabag. At least at a motel 6 your room will be clean, basic and comfortable, but it will be more then $25 a night. Spend more on your room and less on partying. You can have a good time in new Orleans with very little money.
I saw one in Gentilly for $25 a night a year ago. It may have been Knights Inn. It was a real 1 star dump. You may be better off sleeping in your car.

Im trying to plan my senior spring break, and me and my friends want to go to Florida. I stayed at Hotel Desiree in Sorrento for EUR 60 per night (single in high season). It's a ten-minute walk from the city center, along Via del Capo. From this street there are fantastic views. The hotel is a bit old and there is no elevator, but it's quiet and it's a great price for the area. The staff are amazing! They know so much about the area, and they really want to help you maximize your time in Sorrento. I didn't do any pre-booked tours, instead I bought the Campania Arte Card. You get free travel on public transport for three days, plus free admission to two attractions (choose from Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Naples Archaeological Museum for starters). During your three days, any extra attractions are 50% off.

It's been 4 yrs since I've last visited Sorrento, but I stayed in a 3 star hotel, just 3 blocks from the center. I believe is was about $78 US per night, included breakfast, and my room backed up to a lemon grove from the balcony. Didn't bother with tours ($$$)....explored on my own. Took the Circumvesuviana (local train) to Herculenum, and Pompeii. Also took the local bus along the Almalfi Coast and got off at many of the postcard towns. Food? Follow the locals to the offbeat, true and cheap eateries. My only splurge was to Capri to see the Blue Grotto....if you can swing it, go for it....it was worth every dime! You might want to pick up Rick Steves' or Frommer's travel books--they're very helpful. What ever your budget is, a wonderful time is to be had!!

I stayed at Hotel Desiree in Sorrento for EUR 60 per night (single in high season). It's a ten-minute walk from the city center, along Via del Capo. From this street there are fantastic views. The hotel is a bit old and there is no elevator, but it's quiet and it's a great price for the area. The staff are amazing! They know so much about the area, and they really want to help you maximize your time in Sorrento. I didn't do any pre-booked tours, instead I bought the Campania Arte Card. You get free travel on public transport for three days, plus free admission to two attractions (choose from Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Naples Archaeological Museum for starters). During your three days, any extra attractions are 50% off.

We drove into Edinburgh without a hotel reservation. One of our travel books listed the Claremont Hotel. It was easy to find and is located on a quiet tree-lined street about 4 blocks off Princes Street in the Broughton/Calton Hill area. We were given the last available room (of about 20 rooms total). It was huge (easily 500 sq feet) and had one king bed and 3 twins. We only needed the king but it would be a great room for a family. There were also a couple of chairs, a wardrobe, desk, and television. The en-suite was small with a large shower. Breakfast is included and served in a large dining room on one of the lower levels. There is also a bar on the premises that serves until 11. A big plus for us was the free parking in the back of the hotel.
The hotel is two adjoining rowhouses and the owner/manager lives in a flat in one of the buildings. As these were built as homes, the floors creak a bit and you can hear more than in a traditional hotel. If a little noise disturbs you, this is not the place for you.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the owner even let us check into our room at 9am for no extra cost.
They charge based on the number of occupants and at only 拢28 per person with breakfast in a great location, it is a great deal. I would stay here again.

You could stay in a hostel, which would be cheap. None of the hotels in Istanbul are too expensive if you stay in the Sultanahmet area, but below $50 might be difficult. In Serkeci (the district right next to Sultanahmet) there is a hotel there called the Hotel Gulhane. I have stayed there, and a single is about $35 per night. The room is clean, but the floors are uncarpeted, and unless you stay in a double room, there are public bathrooms and no breakfast. If you are really willing to go bare bones, then this would be a good place to go. The number is +90 212 522 4652. I stayed at Harvey's Motel on El Cajon Blvd in San Diego for like $165ish a week(during the summer rates) and it was really big. I don't think there are too many HOTELS out there for that cheap. Try looking for motels.

From Zermatt to Geneva, you'll pass Montreux anyway.

The best price I ever paid in Vegas was $25/night for a nice room at the Excalibur. It was right in the middle of Summer and it was HOT outside!
I'd check with Vegas.com first, then priceline.com, and finally expedia. Vegas.com is most likely to have deals listed, but priceline is most likely to have a room cheaper. But, with priceline, you have to wait to be ';accepted'; and then you are locked in to going.
Las Vegas seems to be one of those places that has no off season. I know that some of the on-line travel agencies offer package deals. You can also find package deals through the airlines. Southwest offers some as do the other airlines.
The hotel rates are usually published 2-3 months in advance. I would try to get a good hotel promotion for your stay. Try http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for this.

You will not find month by month for the next year. Vegas rates are usually 3 months in advance. However you can book 9 months in advance but it has to be advertised by the hotels and available using a promo code. Here are a few codes for Vegas hotels.

The Convention Authority lists the average daily room rate for Las Vegas. During July, November and the first part of December areare when rates drop. They peak from March through May.

The best price I ever paid in Vegas was $25/night for a nice room at the Excalibur. It was right in the middle of Summer and it was HOT outside!
I'd check with Vegas.com first, then priceline.com, and finally expedia. Vegas.com is most likely to have deals listed, but priceline is most likely to have a room cheaper. But, with priceline, you have to wait to be ';accepted'; and then you are locked in to going.
Las Vegas seems to be one of those places that has no off season. I know that some of the on-line travel agencies offer package deals. You can also find package deals through the airlines. Southwest offers some as do the other airlines.
