In November start the High Season for Cancun. During the winter of the northern hemisphere Cancun gets tons of visitors running away from the cold. The best time to get a cheap deal in Cancun is September and October.





I do not think there is a ';good period'; in December for hotels. I know you can get a good deal traveling in or out if you fly on December 25 and/or January 1st.When in december are the cheapest hotel rates and deals in Cancun?

The lowest time to travel anywhere is the Tues. after Thanksgiving and Dec. 15. You can get some good deals by Dec. 21, depending on what day of the week Xmas falls on. In order to get good airfar, you must depart by Dec. 15, as that is the cutoff day for discounted and net airfares. Most foreigners usually for home for longer time than we do and will go for Xmas anytime from the 15th on. Most wholesalers of airline tickets have Dec. 15 as their cutoff date. There are exceptions to certain destinations.





This year, you should return by Dec. 20, as Xmas is on a Wed. and people will take that whole week of starting on the 20-21. You can leave anytime after Nov. 26, and get the low off season rates.

As a matter of fact, I will tell everyone that I know not to Set up a Wedding, Rent a Room, Car, Tour, Airport Transfer or anything from these Fakes ever. They took my familes vacation money and destroyed our vacation in Cancun. We didn't get anything promised and what we got was telephone hang-ups, and lies. If they were in Canada we would run them out of the country. The owner was trying to get fresh with my wife on the phone when she made the reservations

The cheapest hotel rates will be before the 22nd of December. I stayed on Cozumel last December from the 16th to the 23rd. The island was almost empty. The Hotel didn't start filling up until the 22nd of December and this is when the rates started to change.


This is Christmas break-time for most families and folks that want to get away. So for 2007, I would say between the 8th of December and the 22nd of December, fly-out on the 22nd.

The week of Christmas and New Years is the highest but prices start going up in mid-November. Drop off some after New Years and increases again for Valentine's.





When the weather is the coldest in the North that is when it is the most expensive in warm climates (supply and demand).
