01May is a public holi in both HK %26amp; Macau (even china). so all the htls should be full hse or in expensive rates. anyway, recommend u a few.... it's all on Taipa Island w/ cheaper rates usually. my mum stayed in Macau so i m a frequent visitor there.

http://www.taipasquare.com.mo/en/index.h鈥?/a> {it's rite opposite to the Macau Racing Course. 5-7 mins walk to the old town ctr of Taipa}

http://www.pousadamarinainfante.com/ {5-8 mins walk to Venetian}

http://www.grandwaldohotel.com/ {also close to Venetian}

n one last hotel that i wil recommend u = on the next island of Taipa (but not Macau Island). there's totally 3 islands under MACAU. it's called the Coloane island. i've stayed in this htl w/ my family last time. although it's not a luxury 1. but was in v traditional portugese style as u can c in their website. every room had a jacuzzi + balcony itself w/ full seaview. they never raise their room rates even on public holi. not like the others.

Not sure if you will be in an area that has a YMCA or YWCA. Sometimes they offer bedding by the night. Also, Salvation Army has shelters as well. I am pretty sure there would be free. The only deal with them is that you must be pretty much destitute. They usually run a police check to make sure your record is clear and that you are not wanted for any reason.
You won't find good rate in website, when you land in Macau ask the taxi driver for a budget hotel. Macau is not a cheap place to stay, because of heavy tourist there due to all those casinos.
Look up hostels in the area. Yeah......it's not a 5-star, but it's cheap!!! Memories will be made by all the fun you'll have. Don't overpay for a shower and a bed to sleep on. Have fun and good luck!
Try the guest houses on the campus of universities and college. Check local universities' website. Averagely $30 per night.
you can also camp out, or sleep on the train, the last resort is peoples houses on the floor if they let you.
Sorry but these days I don't think you can get a hotel for that cheap.
Just google the place and look up there hotels and go on the price range book it and get a map to it.

Give them a call, if they cannot find it, you are unlikely to find it.
