What are some cheap hotels i can stay at in new york?

hi all,





i am planning a visit to new york city in june and as most of my money will go on airfare, i need to stay in a cheap(ish) place. i am hoping to go for a week with my friend. we are prepared to stay in hostels, but would much prefer a hotel... even a motel... does any1 know of any good ones or websites i can book online?

I recommend the Hotel Belleclaire. It isn't super fancy, but the rooms are nice, it has a fully equipped gym, and it is a 5 minute walk from Central Park. You can get $99 rooms by booking at http://www.hotels.com/hotel_hotel-belleclaire_163765.html
