What are some cheap hotels in Los Angeles, CA?

I am going to L.A., CA in 3 months, what are some decent hotels/motels, at a reasonable price? What are some cheap hotels in Los Angeles, CA?
Here is a list of reasonable options. What are some cheap hotels in Los Angeles, CA?
We see this every day in this forum: Everyone wants to visit here, and is looking for 鈥渃heap/affordable and safe';. However, such a place just doesn鈥檛 exist; the two terms are mutually exclusive. It's all about supply and demand: If it's in SoCal, then it's not going to be cheap to begin with. If it's a safe area, then it's more expensive.

I don't know what you consider ';reasonable';, but a decent hotel is going to run about $125 on average, higher in summer, cheaper in the fall.

Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, all near Hollywood and Highland. Another one is the Best Western Sunset Plaza. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.
You can check out http://search.hotelistic.com/City/Los_An鈥?/a> for the best hotel prices. But remember Los Angeles is a vast city with lots of smaller cities within the county. If you stay in Downtown, the beach is about 45 min drive.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/ and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
I have used a bidding technique on priceline to get 4 or 5 star hotels at really cheap prices sometimes. I recommend trying out this approach:

Hope this helps.
Super 8 and Motel 6 are usually good for low prices. There are lots and lots of small motels that would have to be looked up in the Yellow Pages.
