Ok, it looks like you have never been to WDW before. It is a city onto itself and there is no hotel near enough to walk there. They are so huge they even have their own freeway system. So unless you are wanting to pay up to stay in a Disney resort (and sometimes the rates are not so bad!) you will have to stay someplace else like a motel 6 or super 8 and pay up the $10 for daily parking (unless you want to catch the standard bus to the downtown disney area and then shuttle it to a park, and probably have to take a taxi back from the area later.
But if you are insistant on not doing the disney resort (or can't find a good rate...try looking closer to the Universal Studio's area, there is lots of places and the whole area is like a carnival like atmosphere with lots of small rides (at individual prices) scattered throughout.

If it's near disney's main gate, it's definitely not gonna be very cheap..all the hotels near the main gate are VERY nice, but very expensive as well..me and my friend's family stayed at calypso bay, which is a condo 5 minutes from disney.
