What are some cheap hotels outside D.C. and within walking distance of a metro station?

My friend and I are going on a trip to DC, but we don't want to drive into the city and are on a limited budget. What are some cheap hotels outside D.C. and within walking distance of a metro station?
Days Inn Silver Spring. It's 5 blocks from the DC Metro. What are some cheap hotels outside D.C. and within walking distance of a metro station?
I just stayed at the Marriott Key Bridge Hotel in Arlington VA. It was a very good hotel. It's a 5 min walk to the Rosslyn Metro Station. It is right next to the Key Bridge. You can walk over it to go to Georgetown in less than 10 min. There are actually several hotels in that area.
I have used a priceline bidding strategy to get a nice 4 or 5 star hotel at sometimes up to half the cost. The good news is you will not pay more than you bid, so you can stop bidding if the price gets too high. If it's not a peak travel time, you can sometimes get lights out deals:

Hope this helps.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
Silver Spring, MD is a good place to stay and they have a metro station in downtown.
