What are some good places to stay that relatively cheap (about 50-60 euros or less a night) and clean? And not in the seedy/dangerous part of Paris, I will be traveling alone.What cheap hotel or hostel did you stay in while in Paris?
I stayed in a great Hotel called the Armstrong Hotel. Its considered a 2 star hotel but I really think it is more. It is within that price range but the only thing about it is that its not in the center of Paris. It's about 15 minutes by Metro. I didn't care because the Metro station is a block or so away. The neighborhood is great. Right across the street is a child care center and next door is a doctors office. So in this manner you're fine.

Thanks. I am not personally familiar with the Voltaire. But I noticed that the Hotel Armstrong had recently been renovated and they added a pool table, sauna, flat screens TVs, etc... I wouldn't want to go back to a moldy bathroom either - it's cheaper to go to Florida to find these...!

One last thing - there are many hotel websites for Paris, I usually go back to the same hotels but will be switching it up and I have been using, www.wizzyhotels.com which seems to have an overall lower price because I was told be a hotel owner they charge the hotels less commission than most other sites.What cheap hotel or hostel did you stay in while in Paris?
Hi, I'd suggest looking at a website that I always use when I travel because it matches my personal preferences (and finances!) to suitable places to stay, it's called Gekko (http://gekko.com) and I've always had success when I've used it to book hotels.
