Does anyone recommend a cheap hotel/hostel in NYC?

Hello! Just wondering if anyone knows of a decent as can bevery budget accomodation in NYC - most accept a child staying too!!


Basically am planning a trip of the east side of america, for next year with myself and child. It doesnt have to be grand as not really planning to spend the day there, just somewhere to sleep! Also if anyone knows of airlines (again budget!) for travel within in america. Thank Q!Does anyone recommend a cheap hotel/hostel in NYC?
Just because you are going to NYC doesnt mean have to stay in NYC. I am going Dec2-5 and staying in Fort Lee New Jersey. There is a bus that takes you to the subway. From there you take the ';A'; train right into the city... We are staying at the Holiday inn and the bus is right across the street from the hotel... ITS $122.00 A NIGHT WITH A AAA CARDDoes anyone recommend a cheap hotel/hostel in NYC?
can you add your price range, time of year and if you need to be in Manhattan or can be in Queens or Westchester? It is VERY expensive in NYC unless you stay in shady rooming houses...
It's very difficult to find inexpensive hotel accommodations in New York, particularly if it needs to be suitable for a child.





There is, however, the Hotel Carter in Times Square, with rooms for $99 per night. It's nothing fancy, but the location is great, the rooms are clean, and you can't beat the price.
