These are some of the cheapest i can find but with proper lodging facilities. There are some real dirt cheap motels and inns in which i know for sure even locals would think twice before entering, but i didn't list those here. For a budget travel, I'd suggest YWCA Fort Canning Lodge. Clean and near town area with transport facilities nearby, starts at approx. SD80 (around USD 53) a nite. Hotel 81 Geylang, Orchid, Star and Palace, all four run by same management are located along Geylang road, well known for its classic 60s buildings offers comfortable room at approx SD48 (USD32) a nite. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Just be careful before you book. Many cheap hotels are in the red light district. Some people mind. Some don't.
